POST NO. 100=GIVEAWAY!!!!

I would just like to thank all of you who have continued to inspire me and support me throughout my journey on Yolksy! I have had so much fun sharing all my inspirations with you and really appreciate the support I have received!

I am happy to announce that for Post No. 100 I will be giving away TWO wonderful gifts!
  1. This amazing book called WALLPAPER PROJECTS by Derek Fagerstromand Lauren Smith from one of my favorite stores Urbanic. This is such a wonderful store filled with great people, products, and energy! If you haven't already, you must check out their fabulous blog Parcel Post filled with "style. design. and all things uniquely made." Thanks for everything Audrey!
  2. These funky feather 'Paris' earrings by Adorn Design which are inspired by a night in Paris' 6th arrondisement, listening to the rhythms of the drums... Her jewelry is curated from faraway locales featuring findings, stones, and clasps uniquely sourced from India, Spain, and beyond. She also has a great blog and shop, Pink Pianos, where she showcases her talent for reinventing found objects and turning them into functional works of art. She believes "you can take a journey anywhere, even in your own backyard"! Hilary, creator of Adorn Design + Pink Pianos, is an amazing friend and such a talented artist. Thanks so much for your support!
In order to win just leave a comment and say "Hello!" I would love it if you shared something that inspires you and and included an image or link to an image. You can email it to yolksy@gmail.com. You don't have to send me an image to win, but I would like to use these images for future posts and a fun little project I have up my sleeve...maybe a room designed around your inspiration photo;-)

Here's a couple things that inspire me:

1) MUSIC. Especially the music of Lili Haydn, she is an incredibly talented violinist called the "Jimi Hendrix of the Violin".

2) SKATE CULTURE. I am so excited for the new Venice Beack Skate Park to open. I can watch them skate for hours...they have so much passion, pride and freedom...finally!

Thanks again to everyone! I will post the winners next Monday...STAY INSPIRED!

  12. Annie! You are perfect for "The Beat Boxed"!
My inspirations in design are a bit cliche! My daughters. I have twin girls that will be one in November and it is amazing to watch them experience things for the first time. It has renewed my senses to watch them and has made me a better designer to follow their lead.
