A New Spin on Things!

Now this is what I'm talking about! I just love the refined spin on the standard cage utility light! Work Lamp from Stockholm based, Form Us With Love, comes in gold or silver and is only $100.00!

These new arrivals from Anthropologie really caught my eye as well. A little softer feminine touch was added to the Mechanic's Beacon Light. I just love the scalloped edges on this one called Small Flower!

Florence Lopez Does Antiques...Perfectly!

I can't get enough of Florence Lopez, the unique antique dealer in Paris. She has such an incredible collection of antiques ranging from Finn Juhl, Angelo Lelii, David Hicks, and so much more. She is one of the most sought after antique dealers in Paris as well as a fabulous interior architect/designer. I love her use of bold colors with sharp contrasts of black. Now combine this with the shapes and juxtaposition of her pieces and you get excitement at every angle. Enjoy!

Two of a kind!

Here's a fine example of fashion and interiors speaking the same language!

This not so innocent pair may try to fool you with a play on silhouettes and a mix of classic with countryside.

The Fall Collection by Steven Alan is once again a daring approach of unique fits, bold colors, and uncompromising attention to detail. Loving the RED!!!!

And the winners are...

Big Thanks by Fugu Fugu Press

A huge thanks to those of you who stopped by and shared your inspirations with me! I really loved hearing from you! Now, it's time to announce the winners of the Post No. 100 Giveaway!! I used the random number generator to select the numbers for the contest...and the winners are:

#4 Wendy wins the Paris Feather Earrings!
#10 Jen wins the Wallpaper Projects Book!

Ok now let me tell you two quick stories that I think are pretty great! I waited until this evening to announce the winners because I had no contact info for Wendy. I thought it may have been one of my dear high school friends, wasn't quite sure, but had good reason to believe my assumption was correct. First of all I know she always calls me "An". Secondly, her favorite number is 4, it just so happened that she was the 4th person to comment on the post, and it just so happened that the random number generator chose number 4. It had to be her! So I emailed her, but since she is living in Japan it took a little while for her to respond. Anyway, congratulations Wendy, it was meant to be! Go lucky number 4, can't wait for you to rock the feather earrings! Wendy is an amazing teacher, currently teaching in Japan, and shares all of her incredible travel experiences on her blog, Wendy's World (Tour). It is sure to inspire!

Yay, for Jen of The Haystack Needle, she can check one of the wonderful books off her list! How fun is that! I just love Jen's blog and was so happy when I stumbled upon her reading list, it's full of fun stuff! Wallpaper Projects happens to be on the list! It is an amazing book, I couldn't help but flip through it multiple times:-)

Thanks again! And be sure to check back on Wednesday as I will be doing another giveaway!

A Barcelona Beauty

How could you even possibly think of passing up such a beautiful historical apartment in Barcelona. Well when you have a baby on the way and there's a possibility of being evicted due to redevelopment you might question it! Well question it they did, but Cecilia Tham and Yoel Karaso of Habitan Architects fell in love with the original ornate molding and stunning tile work and they figured out how to make it work. The design of the kitchen and bathroom were created more furniture like and not fitted into any walls, so in case this upheaval happened, they would be able to take all their valuable elements with them. Such a genius idea!
I bet the acoustics in this place are crazy! Look at the height of those doors and that gorgeous ceiling...WOW!
A bathtub and sink combo how incredible is this!

Oh my goodness! I am obsessed with that tile! And those light filled windows with the blue shutters are incredible! I hope they never have to leave!
I love all these raw elements and I'm going to say it one last time...I'm obssessed with the tile:-)

Thanks Dwell for such a wonderful feature! Check out the entire article here.
