Le Vigne

Madlab + Spurse turn one person's trash into another one's treasures in this creation of Le Vigne, a wine shop on New York's Greenwich Ave. Check out my post on Design Milk for the entire story. That chair on the side of the road will never look the same again!

This Trash House Is My Treasure!

I have been truly inspired by this video and story of the Trash House by Randy Palumo. The desert has this special place in my heart and as I listened to this story and dreamily stared at the beautiful photography of Dave Lauridsen I could feel that hot dry heat warming my skin. Randy Palumbo is an artist setting up home in the desert in Joshua Tree and describes his home as a giant found object sculpture. This story from the New York Times is incredible you must check it out!

He also said "willy nilly" and this made me laugh!

The bottle wall is one of the coolest things I have seen and the Joshua Tree growing up in the center is out of control!
What little girl wouldn't want a swing made out of an old water tank!

Farmers Daughter Lincoln City

I have had so much fun working on this boutique hotel renovation in Lincoln City, Oregon. Those in Los Angeles may be familiar with Farmer's Daughter Hotel, well this is her sister and she lives with her cousin Surftides on the amazing coast of Oregon. I am giving you a glimpse of the inspiration and the final pictures will be posted this summer. Let's just say needlepoint deer bench, bentwood rocking chairs, midcentury sofas, sunflowers, shabby chic, black and white gingham, screenprint on plaid, and Amy Butler. Oh yeah let's not forget the large farm animal murals and sunflower signage. FDH Group is able to stay with the times, but not keep with the trends. Always thinking outside the box and have a very successful future ahead of them creating fabulous art hotels.
