My first post...this is more difficult than I imagined. I have chosen this time to begin my blog because this is a time in my life when I am struggling the most. I am constantly reminding myself to take advantage of this time and create something from it. This enables me to get out of my head, which is where I've been for about the past month, and actually share and understand my thoughts and passion for design. I've been playing with the thought of giving it up because I want to do something positive for the world, but I realize design is everywhere and many don't even realize the impact design has on them. Everywhere I look I can be inspired, I just have to open my mind to it. I want to dedicate this blog to all things inspiring and let's just say good. I'm all about starting your day off right and sometimes that one thing can make all the difference in the world.
I absolutely love this unique use of the fireplace bookshelf. Personally I would change the light fixture to something more modern and of a larger scale, but I think room is great.
What a gorgeous kids playroom! I love how the cabinets are wall mounted and open up the floor space.
I am from Iowa, so I have a secret love for barns and I've always loved books! I am so inspired the countryside and dream one day to be able to renovate an old barn and have it as an art studio.
