Pick a Number

These are some inspiration boards for a guest bedroom project we are working. Which one is your favorite? I'd love to hear your thoughts and then I'll let you know which one we went with!

1. Guest Bedroom Option #1 based around a Suzani we have.

2. Guest Bedroom Option #2
3. Guest Bedroom Option #3 a little retro mod spin on the suzani.

I heart these rooms!

I love both of these rooms, so I just thought I'd share them with you! They both just looked so lived in and comfortable.

I could totally see myself lying in this bedroom reading! I can just imagine the soft sound of the sand timer:-) That table is stunning!

This is a great warm palette filled with such organic shapes and textures. Oh that sweater pendant is sooo cute! I'd feel so relaxed working here!

Jill Stuart's Dreamy Home!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was short, but super sweet! I actually had some time to relax on Sunday, get some cleaning done, spend some time at the beach, go rollerblading, go out on a beautiful date with my fiance, and still get some work done! It felt so good to clean up my apartment a bit and as much as I love my space I am dying to make some changes to it. As I was cleaning I came across this issue of Elle Decor featuring the home of of fashion designer Jill Stuart and started to daydream! I just love the crispness and freshness of this apartment with the use of bold artwork and sophisticated details. Her place has a soft feminine touch without being too cutesy or trendy! I love it!

It's Just Right!

I stumbled upon the work of New York based Sara Story Design and loved what I found! She did such an incredible job on this Gramercy Park Project. I love the boldness of colors and patterns and the clever use of space. We all know these New York apartments can be small, so you better use your space wisely, and this is exactly what Sara Story has done!
This kitchen is fabulous! Check out that patterned floor (which by the way is handpainted/airbrushed), the deep purple ceiling and those cabinets that are just the perfect shade of gray! I love the use of black in this space.

That chandelier is stunning! I think the partition wall is an amazing feature. The room still feels so bright and open while the wall breaks up the space. Do you think that bedroom is the old living room? Also check out that wallpaper...so fun! It also looks like the cabinets are built into the wall. Again such a clever solution.
That red is killer...and I mean it in the best way! What an adorable little bathroom. This kid must have a great view. What a fablulous use of space built in around and under the bed.

Happy Weekend!

There is something about these spaces that's calling my name! I'm ready for the weekend and this looks like such a peaceful space to relax in. So bright and airy and I feel like I can smell the Caldrea cleaning products:-) I love the wall and beam colors and that yellow bed mixed with the stripes is fantastic!

A Little Trip!

How stunning are these shots from the amazing Ngoc Minh Ngo?! She was born in Vietnam, studied in Berkley, CA and Florence, Italy and currently lives in New York. I think her work is a testament to her travels and these images capture a bit of it all!

Since I was little I always wanted a house with black walls. She did a great job of make this space look bright!
Crazy, but soooo fun!

black, golds, and white...and that tufting!

the black gold and white so clean and crisp.

Oversized decorative pillows on the bed is a perfect solution to those that love white comforters!
what great natural light in this space!

Dollops of Color

Interior Stylist Abigail Ahern and owner of the London boutique Atelier Abigail Ahern really knows how to use color.  She transformed her all white apartment into this rich, luscious space filled with dollops of bright turquoise, pinks, reds, greens, and yellows.  She painted the walls and the floors with this deep seductive hue by Farrow and Ball "Down Pipe".  By painting the floors the same color as the wall and keeping the ceiling  "Simple White" she was able to add volume to the space.

The art above her fireplace is actually the back of an old road sign...how cool is that!

Another blue kitchen, I just love it!  Here she just spray painted her simple Ikea cabinets this beautiful blue called "Deep Water"
You just can't go wrong with a blue flocked Anglepoise lamp.

The ostrich table in the corner is one of my favorites!

That one red thread says so much!

How natural and cozy and then that turquoise hiding in the corner just adds that little touch of drama.
I can't get over how amazing this red looks with the deep hue.  The sheer volume of that yellow lampshade is just perfect!
