Beauty and the BARN

Oh damn...now this looks like a party! I'm usually not a huge Chanel fan, but this runway show on the other hand is incredible! It was a star-studded blowout on the catwalk yesterday morning and the clothes were perfectly tattered, romped, and ruffled for a scuffle in the hay!

The White Rabbit

The White Rabbit restaurant and bar is housed in an incredible restored chapel in Singapore. This is an amazing example of a timeless look and the perfect contrast of textures, materials, and warm and cool elements.

I am totally drooling over the copper halo chandelier and gorgeous stone. That veining is absolutely incredible! The stained glass windows were designed by a Asylum, an award winning design firm in Singapore.

Ohhh...they are using my favorite chairs! The Gray 24 chair and Gray 23 chair from Gervasoni!
The chevron flooring contrasts perfectly with architecture.
I bet these original window grilles cast gorgeous shadows into the space.

Fall Is A State of Mind:-)

Ok so it's about 85 degrees here today and last night felt like the perfect summer night, which is rare in Venice. I'm just dying for it to feel like fall, so for now I will just imagine it does! I might be sweating my ass off, but I found the perfect fall outfit for my happy hour at the Bigfoot Lodge tonight.

I found these photos from Steven Chee over at Dress Design & Decor (love that blog!)

Friday Is A State of Mind!

I am so happy it's Friday, even though I have to work tomorrow! I just love the thought of Fridays no matter what's in store for the weekend. Just by saying Friday this huge weight is lifted off my shoulders. Tonight I'm so excited to head to happy hour at Bigfoot West in Culver City. How awesome is that...my favorite bar Bigfoot Lodge in Atwater Village decided to come to me! I just love the design of this space. It totally takes me to another place, far far FAR away from the crazy traffic and the hectic week. Oh it's just lovely:-)

Organization Inspiration

What a Tuesday! I have one more meeting to go and then I'm home to get some cleaning done. I am feeling really inspired by this incredible loft of Sabrina Linn that was featured in the Canadian House and Home Magazine.

I go crazy over inspiration boards, I always have! When I was little decorating my cork board was by far one of my favorite things to do. It later to continued to become my entire bedroom wall!
Alright, do you guys even know what I'd do to get this closet?! Well in my current situation I'd have to get rid of my bathroom, so I'd go pretty far, but I don't think I could go that far!

Craig Damrauer: New Math

I just came across the hilarious and witty artwork of Brooklyn based artist Craig Damraue which was being featured on the Inside Out blog. This collection of NEW MATH creates equations that make the most complex thoughts as easy as 1+2=3! His work was displayed on the walls of Matt Eastwood's home in last months issue of Inside Out and the readers were going crazy over it...and so am I! Enjoy!

Flavor Paper

Flavor Paper has me licking my lips:-) I just took some time to revisit my love for wallpaper and am loving it! I haven't had the project for fun wallpaper in awhile and I'm really missin it! I've been working with alot of tiles, and they really need to catch up with the wallpaper-like porcelains. The damask tile just isn't cutting it anymore!

Chinatown Toile has been around for a bit in the design world, but the average person may not have noticed it. We were at a going away party at a bar a couple months back and they had this Chinatown Toile on the wall. I pointed it out to one of my friends and I noticed my friends going back there throughout the night to look at the wallpaper. It is definitely something you may walk by again and again without noticing the detail, but when you do you could stare at it for hours!

Onda just does something for me! I love the color combination and the organic details!

Oooohhhh...Luxury, you're just that! How fun is this multi-dimensional work of art?!

Rough Luxe

My feature today on Design Milk, Rough Luxe=Tough Love, is about this "new manifesto" in design they are calling Rough Luxe. I personally love this style, but there was recently a write up about it in The Wall Street Journal Magazine (WSJ Magazine) and the readers HATED it! Take a look at the article and let me know your thoughts!

Some Organic Love!

I am working on a lobby remodel in Santa Monica and am loving these organic elements for the space as well as the bold colors mixed with the sharp contrasts of black and white! What fabulous coffee tables, stools, and ottomans in these images!

Love everything about this!

The artwork is a little scary, but how great is the size and the contrast with the space!

The coffee tables is pretty close to this fabulous metal side table!

These reclaimed wood stools are very similar to the Butterfly Joint Stools or for a more modern look go with a lacquer Gus Modern: Pawn Stool.

Love the Jasper Morrison cork stools mixed with the morrocan rug!

Get the look of the that round stool with this hand carved walnut stools by Alma Allen and then there is the, always fabulous, classic Eames Walnut Stool

Beautiful sculptural stools...the Taburet M Stacking Stools!

Jill Stuart's Dreamy Home!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was short, but super sweet! I actually had some time to relax on Sunday, get some cleaning done, spend some time at the beach, go rollerblading, go out on a beautiful date with my fiance, and still get some work done! It felt so good to clean up my apartment a bit and as much as I love my space I am dying to make some changes to it. As I was cleaning I came across this issue of Elle Decor featuring the home of of fashion designer Jill Stuart and started to daydream! I just love the crispness and freshness of this apartment with the use of bold artwork and sophisticated details. Her place has a soft feminine touch without being too cutesy or trendy! I love it!
